"A & B Days" - Thursday/Friday, March 7-8, 2019

Joshua Tree National Park Field Trip Days!

All English Language Arts Classes:

Must complete Teens Need Jobs, Not Just Cash” ELA textbook pages 419 - 423 assignment. 
Click here for PDF sheet of instructions. 
Students must complete textbook work either in Mr. Luke's or Mrs. Burdett's classrooms. 
When finished, work on Reading Log: Week 28.



Yearbook/ASB: 
Complete two remaining posters. Leave them in Burdett's class and I will pick them up next week. 
Go to Google Classroom --> Yearbook/ASB
Complete your 4-6 paragraph essay on Campus Beautification (see below). 
Submit via Google Classroom. 
Complete your Yearbook page/spread on Studio Balfour!
Complete the Yearbook Crossword Puzzle when you are finished. 

Campus Beautification Ideas

1. Create a Google Document and attach it to this assignment. 
2. Research what other middle schools & high schools are doing to improve their campuses: 
- murals
- paintings
- recycling
- gardens
- green spaces
How did those projects improve their campuses? Where were the results? Write two to three paragraphs about the projects that most interest you. 
3. What would you like to do to make TPJHS a better campus for future generations of junior high students? 
Write two to three paragraphs about WHAT you want to do, then tell me HOW you are going to do it (where will the money and labor come from?). 

You may included pictues, web links, or graphs. 
This should be in an essay format. 
Must work alone (Purple Zone)
Due by the end of class on Thursday (while you are in Mrs. Burdett's class)
